Exploring ongoing video production and marketing has been a fantastic way to get to know our clients even better. I generally learn a lot with every customer I work with—about them, their goals, what they like, what they dislike. Working with Kevin has been a blast for me because he is doing what I’ve always been fascinated by—buying and rehabbing homes. Before I was in video production I was in construction for many years and have bought, sold, and remodeled many homes.
When Kevin showed us his latest house project I couldn’t believe it. I’d seem some REAL messes in my time, but this one was truly a DISASTER. I’d never even seen anything like this even on TV. It was AWESOME. Not only was it jam packed with trash, furniture, and the detritus of life when people just walk away from their home, but structurally it was a fiasco. The kitchen floor was literally sitting in the crawl space, having collapsed under its own weight.
We have been excited to explore ongoing video production and marketing here in Nashville with a client and jumped at the chance to capture this homes re-birth with Kevin.
It’s been fun working with Kevin on a regular basis watching him bring this house to life. Even when things don’t go exactly as planned, Kevin still has a grin on his face and is undaunted by the challenge. He genuinely LOVES the process of making an eyesore in a neighborhood into a really nice home and elevating the properties around it too.
How do you advertise looking for these houses that are neglected? Our solution to this problem are these weekly updates we’re shooting with Kevin. The idea is to give him tools for social media to share what he’s doing in hopes people who know of a disaster home in need of love will see it.
Our goal is never just shooting video. Our goal is to understand the vision and need of our customer and help them achieve their goals.
